On Friday, 28 July 2023, the first deadline for the submission of project applications under the Open Call for proposals for small-scale projects of the Interreg Programme Slovenia-Hungary for the period 2021-2027 closed.

By that deadline, 22 project applications were submitted, applying for about 352 thousand EUR.

The Interreg Programme Slovenia-Hungary is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the European territorial cooperation goal. The subject of this Open Call for Proposals for small-scale projects is the co-financing of projects that contribute efficiently to the visibility of the programme by building mutual trust and generating new links in civil society cooperation in the border regions, as well as enhanced individual relationships.

The second deadline for the submission of applications under the Open Call for small-scale projects is expected to be at the beginning of 2024, in case there will be available funds.

A decision on the applications received by the first deadline, 8 May 2023, for the Open Call for proposals for standard projects is expected in September 2023.
