A new foundation for integrating local products into tourism in the cross-border region
On 18 November 2025, a professional workshop of the project CROSSDEST – Strengthening the cross-border tourism role of local producers in the Slovenian-Hungarian border region, organised by the Pannonian European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation, took place in Lendava, at the site of the Banuta Model Farm.
On 20 October 2025, the workshop “Strengthening the Role of Local Producers in Cross-Border Tourism in the Slovenian–Hungarian Border Region” took place in Lenti, gathering Slovenian and Hungarian experts, local producers and tourism service providers.
From now on, the Sustainable Tourism Index calculator, which is based on the international sustainability criteria defined by the GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council), is available free of charge to any tourism service provider and attraction.
Within the framework of the Crossdest international tourism project, a free sustainability self-monitoring tool is now available to anyone on the I-DEST platform.
