Developing and sharing nature-based solutions for enhancing the biodiversity of aquatic habitats along the Slovenian-Hungarian border

For nature conservation authorities, water management bodies, local communities, and stakeholders in the Slovenian–Hungarian border region
who need effective, coordinated solutions to protect and restore threatened wetlands under climate change, pollution, and invasive species pressure,
we develop and implement a joint cross-border wetland management approach with a shared action plan, pilot nature-based interventions, and targeted awareness-raising activities.
With our help, they can restore wetlands and streams, improve biodiversity and water retention, meet EU environmental directives, and strengthen long-term cooperation between sectors and countries.
Our solution is better than isolated, single-sector conservation efforts
because it combines cross-sector and cross-border cooperation, applies transferable pilot solutions, and knowledge sharing for sustainable, transferable results.
