The composition of the Monitoring Committee is agreed on by mutual consent by the programme partners who represent the Member States.<\/p>\n<p>The Monitoring Committee steers the programme, supervises the quality and effectiveness of its implementation and decides on the approval or rejection of the projects for funding. In addition, the Monitoring Committee took over the tasks and responsibilities for the Cooperation Programme Interreg V-A Slovenia-HUngary for the period 2014-2020.<\/p>\n<p>The Monitoring Committee meetings will be held alternatively in both Member States. The Monitoring Committee meets at least once a year and reviews the implementation of the Programme and progress towards achieving its objectives. The members of the Monitoring Committee got acquainted with the actual status of the Interreg Programme; selected 11 small-scale projects for approval submitted in the frame of the first submission deadline, and agreed that the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> submission deadline for small-scale project proposals would be in October 2024. The members of the Monitoring Committee got acquainted with the actual status of the Cooperation Programme SI-HU 2014-2020 and the actual status of the Interreg Programme SI-HU 2021-2027; selected 4 standard projects for approval submitted in the frame of the second submission deadline, and agreed that the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> submission deadline for small-scale projects is 17 September 2024 and 3<sup>rd<\/sup> submission deadline for standard projects is 22 January 2025. Moreover, the MC members were informed about the Communication Strategy of IP SI-HU 2021-2027&nbsp;and approved the Annual Communication Plan for year 2024. The members of the Monitoring Committee got acquainted with the actual status of the Cooperation Programme SI-HU 2014-2020 and discussed the first draft of the Final Implementation Report of the related programme period. They were informed of the actual status of the Interreg Programme SI-HU 2021-2027 and selected 5 new small-scale projects for approval submitted in the frame of the second submission deadline. Moreover, the MC members approved the Annual Communication Plan for the year 2025 and last but not least, they visited one of the successful projects of the 2014-2020 programming period, the project HORSE BASED TOURISM \u2013 HBT. The members of the MC got acquainted with the changes in the membership of the MC and took note of the current status of the Cooperation Programme SI-HU 2014-2020. &nbsp;They were informed of the actual status of the Interreg Programme SI-HU 2021-2027, selected 9 (nine) new standard projects submitted in the frame of the third submission deadline and approved the modification requests of projects EXP Castles and PollenAct. Moreover, the MC members were informed on the process of Post2027 consultation. The MC agreed that the current Open Call for Proposals for standard projects will close, and the new Open Call for standard projects will be published on the programme website in the autumn. Finally, they visited two of the successful projects of the 2014-2020 programming period, the project GardEN and IronCurtainCycling.
