The three-day Youth Camp in Lendava offered an unforgettable experience for Hungarian and Slovenian youth. From October 7\u20139, 51 enthusiastic participants came together to build friendships, learn, and explore the region\u2019s rich cultural and natural treasures.<\/p>\n

The first day began with the group\u2019s arrival in Lendava, where Hungarian students quickly settled into their accommodations before meeting their Slovenian peers at the Placc youth community space. The opening ceremony was festive, with local and Hungarian leaders welcoming the participants and highlighting the importance of cross-border cooperation. After lunch, icebreaker games lightened the mood, followed by a guided tour of Lendava\u2019s landmarks led by historian \u0160oo\u0161 Peter. Highlights included the Holy Trinity Chapel and the castle. The evening concluded with a quiz on the European Union, enriching participants knowledge.<\/p>\n

The second day was all about active recreation. At the Dobrovnik Adventure Park, participants tested their skills on seven different obstacle courses nestled in the picturesque forest around Lake Bukovnica. After a delicious lunch, the group visited the Gy\u00f6rgy House in Dobrovnik, where they explored local history and ethnography and crafted birds from corn husks during a hands-on activity. The day ended with a visit to the Ethnographical House in Domanj\u0161evci, where local culture and cuisine came to life for the group.<\/p>\n

The third day focused on learning and envisioning the future. The group visited the Lendava Bilingual Secondary School, where Vice Principal Tibor Tom\u0161i\u010d introduced them to the school\u2019s programs and workshops. This was followed by a presentation by the Hungarian Youth Conference, and a roundtable discussion where participants explored opportunities in education, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. The camp\u2019s final program included a tour of the NK Nafta football stadium and the Football Academy in Lendava, wrapping up with a traditional local goulash meal called Bogra\u010d.<\/p>\n

These three days were not only filled with fun but also fostered community building and a shared vision for the future, with each participant contributing their own piece to the experience.<\/p>\n
