Within the framework of the Messages project<\/strong>, the ceremonial opening of the travelling exhibition entitled \u201cLight at the Border \u2013 In the Footsteps of the Martyrs J\u00e1nos Brenner and D\u00e1niel Hal\u00e1sz\u201d<\/strong> took place on 18 March 2026 at the Martineum Adult Education Academy in Szombathely<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The aim of the exhibition is to present the shared religious and cultural heritage of the Slovenian\u2013Hungarian border region, bringing visitors closer to the life paths and martyrdom of two outstanding historical figures, Blessed J\u00e1nos Brenner and the Servant of God D\u00e1niel Hal\u00e1sz.<\/p>\n

During the opening event, participants were given a brief insight into the objectives and achievements of the Messages project to date, with particular focus on the pilgrimage route currently under development, which connects locations related to the lives of the two martyrs on both sides of the border.<\/p>\n

The exhibition is not only significant from a historical and religious perspective, but also contributes to strengthening the identity of local communities and engaging younger generations. One of the key objectives of the project is to connect the values of the past with present-day communities in a living and meaningful way.<\/p>\n

The travelling exhibition will be open to visitors in Szombathely between 17 March 2026 and 29 March 2026 at the Martineum Academy for Adult\u2019s Training (9700 Szombathely, Karmelita u. 1., Hungary). It will subsequently be presented at additional locations, including Zalaegerszeg and K\u00f6rmend, further reinforcing the cross-border character of the project.<\/p>\n
