On 11 June 2026, the PollenAct and BIOMIMICRY project partnership will host the conference Living Landscapes: Biomimicry, Habitat Connectivity and Pollinator Conservation<\/em> at Murska Sobota Castle, Slovenia<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

The conference will address some of the key challenges facing biodiversity in contemporary landscapes, including habitat loss and degradation, landscape fragmentation, declining pollinator populations, and the need for more integrated approaches to spatial planning, habitat management and conservation action. <\/p>\n

The event will bring together experts, practitioners, conservation organisations and regional stakeholders from Slovenia, Hungary and Croatia to exchange knowledge on how living landscapes can be better understood, protected and managed. Particular attention will be given to the connections between biodiversity, habitat connectivity, grassland ecosystems, pollinators, species conservation and nature-inspired approaches to development. <\/p>\n

By linking ecological knowledge with practical conservation and planning perspectives, the conference will explore how fragmented landscapes can become more resilient, functional and supportive of both biodiversity and local communities. <\/p>\n
