On 8 August 2026, from 16:00 to 23:45<\/strong>, partnership of KeepItDark project invites you on a spectacular mayfly swarming experience in K\u00f6rmend and discovering the hidden wildlife of the River R\u00e1ba!<\/p>\n

For a night in August the blooming of the R\u00e1ba will get a spotlight in K\u00f6rmend. During the event four stations will introduce the mysterious wildlife of the R\u00e1ba and the secrets of nocturnal animals. The life of maylfies, the threat of light pollution to their populations and the action launched for their rescue will be presented interactively. Beside the underwater creatures we will meet bats, nocturnal birds and moths as well, and we\u2019ll be enlightened about polarized light through experiments. A DIY tent and outdoor movie screening will also be part of the event. The highlight of the night will likely be the mayfly swarming, but we cannot guarantee an especially big swarm on this night.<\/p>\n
