Primary school kids explored their roots at the \u00c1goston P\u00e1vel Museum during the GU\u010cIMO workshop! Crafts, traditional games, and songs helped them connect with the Slovene dialects of the Prekmurje and R\u00e1ba regions.<\/p>\n

On August 17, 2026, the \u00c1goston P\u00e1vel Museum hosted its first children’s workshop under the GU\u010cIMO project, titled \u201cThe Tourist Appeal of the Slovene Minority Collection of the \u00c1goston P\u00e1vel Museum, Its Connections with Educational Institutions and Slovene Minority Self-Governments.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event brought together 25 primary school students (from 1st to 8th grade) from bilingual schools and minority self-government settlements across the R\u00e1ba Region, including Fels\u0151sz\u00f6ln\u00f6k, Ap\u00e1tistv\u00e1nfalva, Szentgotth\u00e1rd, R\u00f6n\u00f6k, and Cs\u00f6r\u00f6tnek.<\/p>\n

Guided in three languages \u2014 Hungarian, standard Slovene, and the local Slovene dialect \u2014 by museum educators Margit Mayer G\u00e1sp\u00e1rn\u00e9 and Andrea K\u00e1roly, alongside museum director Tiborn\u00e9 Horv\u00e1th, the young participants embarked on a hands-on journey into their cultural roots.<\/p>\n
