On 26 September 2026, the HOUSES to go event series will begin. Country houses and heritage sites in the Hungarian\u2013Slovenian border region will welcome visitors with gastronomic, cultural and experience-based programmes.<\/p>\n

On 26 September 2026, the opening day of the first HOUSES to go event weekend, the Hungarian and Slovenian locations of the Country Houses Route will welcome visitors with a diverse range of programmes. The day will focus on local flavours, traditional gastronomy and cultural heritage: visitors can discover characteristic dishes and ingredients of the region, gain an insight into traditional food preparation, and take part in local tastings and community-based experience programmes. At several locations, the programme will be complemented by presentations of architectural and local history values, guided visits, handicraft and creative activities, as well as experiences related to rural lifestyles and autumn traditions. The event day offers a great opportunity to explore several locations and discover the cultural and gastronomic diversity of the Hungarian\u2013Slovenian border region through personal experiences.<\/p>\n<\/div>
