DUAL TRANSFER

The aim of the project is to introduce the apprenticeship training system as an improvement of the dual system, and also to interest youngsters in this form of vocational education. Chambers and other institutions can play an important coordinating role in this. Both neighbouring countries have similar education system; at the same they use different work methods during cooperation with youngster and enterprises. Chambers in the two countries have different tasks and competences, Hungarian Chambers have larger scope of authority in the education system. The current scheme often does not meet the needs of the labour market on either sides of the border. We would like to create conditions for both the dual and apprenticeship system and bring them closer to companies and youngsters. Through the exchange of good practices and experiences of project partners, we want to improve sustainable cooperation and economic development in the border regions. Implementation would start with a training need assessment, then continue with the collection of companies that would accept student apprentices. We would organize 7 workshops, 4 roundtable discussions, 1 joint course, 3 study tours and several introductions of companies in schools. We would also organise best practice tours for teachers, companies, decision makers and general public in order to get to know their opinions, remarks and suggestions about reorganisation of Slovenian vocational education and the participants become acquainted with the effective Hungarian system. Vocational education experts from both countries will present the model of cooperation between chambers and other institutions in the field of apprenticeship and dual vocational education. The result of the project is a bilingual study on the possibility of introducing an apprenticeship and supplementing the current dual education system in Slovenia.
