At the MOS fair in Celje, Friday’s program at the exhibition space of the Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development (MKRR) was marked by cross-border cooperation. Visitors had the opportunity to learn about the concrete results of Interreg programs and experience how cross-border projects contribute to the development of the region and the creation of new opportunities.
The Keep Young and Fit project was presented within the framework of the Interreg program Slovenia-Hungary, which focuses on one of the biggest modern social problems – poor dietary and physical activity habits of young people, which lead to premature physical inactivity, overweight and poor health of entire generations. The lead partner of the project is the Project Development Agency and Communication d.o.o. and representatives of Alma Mater Europaea – European Center, Maribor tried to explain to visitors, especially young people, the importance of spending free time and socializing with peers outside and how important healthy eating habits without fast, high-calorie snacks are for their health.
Other cross-border projects were also presented, CDO-VR – Center for the Promotion of Deficit Professions with the Help of Virtual Reality (Interreg program Slovenia-Austria), in which visitors entered the interactive world of professions with the help of VR glasses, and Riviera4Seasons2 (Interreg program Slovenia-Croatia) with tasting products made from olives and the Piran salt pans.
