The partnership of the Messages project cordially invites you to the ceremonial opening of the second stop of the traveling exhibition titled “Light at the Border – In the Footsteps of the Martyrs János Brenner and Dániel Halász.”

📅 Date: March 18, 2026 (Wednesday), 17:30

📍 Venue: Martineum Adult Education Academy

9700 Szombathely, Karmelita u. 1. (Hungary)

The project, co-financed by the Interreg VI-A Slovenia–Hungary Programme, aims to create a new pilgrimage route and community initiatives based on the shared religious and cultural heritage of the cross-border region.

During the opening event, the objectives and results of the project will be briefly presented. Invited guests will also discuss how the pilgrimage route created during the project can contribute to ensuring that the memory of the martyrs János Brenner and Dániel Halász remains a living heritage for today’s communities.

The exhibition will be open to visitors at the Martineum Adult Education Academy until March 29, 2026, during the institution’s opening hours (including weekends).

Afterward, the traveling exhibition will be presented in Zalaegerszeg from April 1, 2026, then expected in Körmend from mid-April 2026, and later also in Slovenia.

The event is open to the public. The partnership warmly welcomes both adults and children interested in the topic to attend the event and visit the exhibition.
