On May 15 and 17, we organized a two-day event as part of the KeepItDark project, dedicated to the fascinating birds of the night! We listened for nightingales, ringed Eurasian blackcaps, and installed nest boxes for some of the most remarkable nocturnal birds, the owls.

During a professional study visit to the Őrség National Park, the KeepItDark project was presented, highlighting the impacts of light pollution on nature, biodiversity, and human health, while emphasizing the importance of cross-border cooperation.

On Friday, May 15, from 5:30 PM, everyone is warmly invited to the Owls and Humans Sustainability Centre of the Barn Owl Foundation in Orosztony, Hungary (address: 8744 Orosztony Temesvár utca 10).
