At the 4th Monitoring Committee meeting of the Interreg Programme Slovenia-Hungary, held on 17-18 June 2024 in Körmend, Hungary four (4) new standard projects were successfully approved for co-financing in a total amount of € 1.939.421,59 in ERDF funding.

Under the Open call for proposals for standard projects in the Interreg Programme Slovenia–Hungary for the programming period 2021–2027, 22 applications were submitted for the second deadline, in early 2024. Following the assessment of the applications received, the projects with the acronyms PharmWater and Pannonian P&G (in the frame of Priority 1) and HOUSES to go and CROSSDEST (in the frame of Priority 2) were selected for approval by the Monitoring Committee of the Programme. The approved standard projects involve 8 Slovenian and 10 Hungarian project partners.

At the end of the first day of the two-day meeting, the Monitoring Committee members visited one of the successful projects of the 2014-2020 programming period. The project HOUSES developed a cross-border tourism package, called “The Route of Traditional Houses” in order to integrate the cultural and built heritage of the border region – especially traditional houses – into the tourism offer, which contributes to the protection of these sites. The network of 5 Slovenian and 4 Hungarian traditional houses has been actively cooperating since then.

Congratulations to all partners of the selected projects!
