On June 3, 2026, the official opening of the traveling exhibition titled “Light at the Border – In the Footsteps of the Martyrs János Brenner and Danijel Halas” took place in Črenšovci. The exhibition was created as part of the Interreg Messages project.
The attendees were first welcomed by the project’s professional coordinator and staff member. This was followed by a presentation on the life and ministry of the Servant of God Danijel Halas, delivered by Ms. Tadeja Pitz Prasl, the professional head of the Danijel Halas Home.
The audience was then addressed by Janez Magyar, Mayor of the Municipality of Lendava, who officially opened the traveling exhibition following a presentation of the project. Bence Sárossy, Director of MURABA EGTC, guided visitors through five thematic sections which, with the help of interactive tasks, present the life and work of the martyr, Blessed János Brenner, and the Servant of God Danijel Halas.
The main goal of the project is to use the pilgrimage and the traveling exhibition to make the example set by these two outstanding figures visible to younger generations, while also strengthening the cultural and tourist network between the Prekmurje and Rába-vidék regions.
The exhibition remained open to visitors until Jun 12, 2026.
