On Friday, September 4, at 9:30 a.m., the KeepItDark partnership warmly invite everyone interested in the impacts of municipal street lighting on light pollution and the possibilities for its mitigation to attend our professional workshop at the Orosztony Community Centre (8744 Orosztony, 1 Szent Imre Street, Hungary)

As part of KeepItDark project, partnership is organizing a Light Pollution Workshop for everyone interested in urban light pollution, its effects on human health and biodiversity, and the technical and behavioural approaches that can help reduce its extent and mitigate its harmful impacts.

We especially welcome the mayors and representatives of the cross-border municipalities participating in the project to join us for an open exchange of ideas, experiences, and practical knowledge, as well as to discuss questions and challenges related to outdoor lighting.

The programme will feature expert presentations on the relationship between artificial light at night (ALAN) and biodiversity, the phenomenon of light pollution and its technical and measurement aspects, as well as practical, energy-efficient lighting solutions that can be implemented by municipalities.

Both the presentations and the discussions will focus on providing practical knowledge and actionable recommendations that participants can apply in their own communities.

The programme is free of charge, held in Hungarian, and open to everybody.
