The ICDM project has completed a sustainable cycling destination management model for the Slovenia–Hungary border region. The common framework supports coordinated, long-term cooperation between the region’s cycling trails, service providers and tourism stakeholders.
Launched last year, the Slovenian–Hungarian border region’s ICDM project is an exciting tourism initiative aimed at showcasing the lesser-known rural landscapes and their cultural, natural, and spiritual values, while expanding the region’s tourism offer.
Sustainable and accessible tourism is playing an increasingly important role in the tourism sector. The aim of the training was to expand the knowledge of tourism service providers, civil organizations, and municipalities.
On April 9, 2024, Zala County Self-Government (Lead partner) organized the opening conference of the ICDM project - "Development of an Innovative Cycling Destination Model in the Slovenian-Hungarian Border Region"
