Official Inauguration of the cross-border scattered milling museum of Slovenia and Hungary
At the Island of Love in Ižakovci, on Saturday, 27 June at 2 p.m., next to the mill on the Mura River, the newly established Museum of Mills of Slovenia and Hungary will be officially presented to the public. It is a unique museum of its kind within the cross-border programme area of the Interreg Slovenia–Hungary Programme.
From Mill to Mill
In the project From Mill to Mill, the partnership reached 13 mills in Slovenia and Hungary, which are presented in a special monograph. At the event, a lead partner will announce a dispersed museum of mills in Slovenia and Hungary and prepare a conversation with the author of the monograph.
From Mill to Mill: Preserving the technical heritage of Slovenia and Hungary
Mills represent an important cultural and technical heritage that has been using alternative energy sources and sustainability principles in its activities since before recent times. The project partners of the From Mill to Mill project have therefore prepared a series of activities in the frame of the project to add new programming and marketing content to the abandoned and disappearing mills, which will be interesting in the changing space of rural Europe.
