The first event of the Slovenian–Hungarian Rural Tourism Academy, organised within the RE-ACTION project, welcomes rural tourism businesses with practical knowledge and inspiring examples.

A journey often begins long before departure: with an online search, a social media post or a recommendation. These first impressions can play a decisive role in whether a potential guest eventually makes a booking, what expectations they have upon arrival, and whether they later return or recommend the service to others.

Within the framework of the RE-ACTION partnership, the Zala County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as a project partner, supports rural tourism businesses in developing their digital presence and guest relations through its professional presentation entitled “The 5 Key Stages of the Digital Guest Journey”.

Date: 23 September 2026

Venue: Zala County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attic floor – Széchenyi Hall (24 Petőfi Sándor Street, 8900 Zalaegerszeg)

The presentation explores the most important stages of the guest journey, from initial inspiration and information gathering through booking and the on-site guest experience to post-visit follow-up. Through practical examples, it also highlights how local values can become more visible, how guest trust can be strengthened even before the journey begins, and how businesses can build relationships that encourage return visits and recommendations.

The aim of the programme is to provide participants with practical ideas for the conscious development of their digital communication and guest experience.

The event will be held in Hungarian and Slovenian with simultaneous interpretation. Participation is free of charge but subject to prior registration.
