On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, the GUČIMO project partnership organized a workshop titled Let’s talk (Gučimo) about tourism: dialect as a tourism opportunity, at the Števan Küzmič Memorial House in Puconci. The workshop was intended for local tourism stakeholders—representatives of development institutions, tourism providers, cultural and tourism associations, and anyone interested in the topic. The workshop brought together 45 participants, who discussed the possibilities of incorporating the dialectal cultural heritage of Prekmurje and Porabje into the region’s tourism offerings. In the introductory part, the partnership presented the GUČIMO project, its objectives, and the specific outputs being developed within the project. The central part of the workshop was dedicated to group work, during which participants discussed key issues in the development of cultural tourism in small groups. The discussion was lively and constructive—participants actively exchanged experiences, highlighted challenges, and formulated concrete proposals and ideas for the development of cultural tourism products in the cross-border region.
