Within the C4F-ELEVATE project, a professional event entitled “Modernisation of Craft Heritage through Contemporary Design” will take place on 26 May 2026 at the Pomurski muzej Murska Sobota.
The event is organised as part of the project’s educational activities focusing on the strategic pillar Modernisation of Craft Heritage through Design and Innovation. Participants will gain insight into the role of ethnological research as a foundation for contemporary product development, the reinterpretation of traditional symbols, materials and techniques, and successful cooperation between designers and craftspeople.
The programme will feature expert contributions by Jelka Pšajd, Jožica Brodarič, Darja Malešič and Sara Köleš Ribeiro.
The event is intended for craftspeople, designers, cultural professionals, researchers, students and all stakeholders interested in cultural heritage, innovation and sustainable tourism development.
