On 5 June 2019, the final conference of the RIGHT PROFESSION II project was held in Zalaegerszeg in Hungary, where the proactive partnership signed a new subsidy contract for the project with the acronym DUAL TRANSFER based on the results of the Right profession II project. The event was attended by 68 people. Initially, Mr. Károly Szabó, Vocational Education Center Zalaegerszeg and Mr. Imre Pácsonyi, Assembly of Zala County welcomed honorary guests, organizations and project partners.
Among the participants of the event, besides the representatives of the partner organizations, the Consul General of the Republic of Slovenia from Monoštr g. dr. Boris Jesih, Economic Attaché of the Consulate General of Hungary from Lendava Dr. Ildikó Kiss, General Director and Head of the Zala County Government Office Miklós Héder and Dr. Krisztina Árok, representative of the Managing Authority and Programme manager of the Cooperation Program Interreg SI-HU Aleš Mrkela and Head of the Joint Secretariat of this program Jasmina Litrop.
In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Robert Grah, from the Pomurska Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the importance of this project for the region and briefly presented the project results. He emphasized that the main objective of the project was to contribute to the reduction of staff disparities and to more satisfying staffing needs in the cross-border area by increasing the mutual cooperation of educational institutions in the cross-border area. They have established good foundations for cross-border dialogue and added value to address common challenges. Subsequently, the project partners reported on their results, regional and bilateral experiences and expressed concrete wishes for further cross-border cooperation.
With the signing of the subsidy contract for the DUAL TRANSFER project, the conclusion of the conference added the seal of the sustainability of cooperation between the partners and the joint solution of the challenges in the field of education. With a new project, which in some way is an upgrade of joint cooperation, the partnership will try to ensure the introduction of an apprenticeship education system, such as upgrading the dual, and to interest young people in such a form of vocational education. Both systems, both dual and apprentice, want the project partnership to create conditions and bring them closer to businesses and young people. By exchanging good practices and experiences between project partners, it will improve sustainable cooperation and economic development in border regions.
