You are invited to attend the cycling in Porabje (Hungary) on Saturday, 15 September 2018 in the framework of the European Cooperation Day (EC DAY) 2018.
The event is organized by the Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy in the framework of the cross-border cooperation program Interreg V-A Slovenia-Hungary in cooperation with the organizers of the 13th cycling marathon Goričko-Raab-Őrség and the project Green Exercise. The event is free for the participants.
Cycling will take place in the area of implementation of the Green Exercise project co-financed under the Interreg Slovenia-Hungary program. The beginning and end of the cycling will be in Monošter/ Szentgotthárd in Hungary, and cycling will be possible in two ways:
- Small marathon: approx. 35 km, 200 altitude meters:
Slovenian Cultural and Information Center, Monoster / Szentgotthárd / – Mariaújfalu – Števanovci / Apátistvánfalva – Verica – Ritkarovci / Kétvölgy – Čepinci (refreshment station at the border crossing HU-SLO) – Gornji Senik / Felsőszölnök – Dolnji Senik / Alsószölnök (refreshment station in Green park Dolnji Senik) – Slovene cultural and information center, Monoster / Szentgotthárd (concluding with a snack). - Grand marathon – approx. 90 km, 600 meters height:
Slovenian Cultural and Information Center, Monoster / Szentgotthárd – Mariaújfalu – Magyarlak – Csörötnek – Kondorfa – Őriszentpéter (NP Őrség – refreshment station) – Bajánsenye (border of SLO / HU) – Hodoš – Šalovci – Markovci (refreshment station) – Luca – Šulinci – Ženavlje – Boreča – Vidonci – Grad (refreshment station) – Vidonci – Trdkova – Martinje (border of HU / SLO) – Gornji Senik / Felsőszölnök – Dolnji Senik / Alsószölnök (refreshment station in Green Park Dolnji Senik) Slovenian Cultural and Information Center, Monoster / Szentgotthárd (concluding with a snack).

The organizers provide an escort on the route, free refreshments on the track and food at the end, and you a good mood! Participants are also provided with free hire of trekking bikes or e-Bikes, for which you will need a personal document. The number of bikes is limited. All registered participants of the event will also receive a promotional gift.
As the number of participants is limited, we kindly ask you to register as soon as possible. Participation at the event is at your own risk. If you join us and you will need to cross the border, please make sure to carry the valid identity document (personal, passport). If you need a bike, be careful to sign up under the right link.
