At the eighth Monitoring Committee meeting of the Cooperation Program Interreg Slovenia-Hungary 2014-2020 held in Sormás, Hungary, the members of the MC approved the projects submitted in the frame of the sixth deadline of call for proposals.

A total of 21 applications were submitted within the deadline for submission of project applications. At the meeting, the members of the committee discussed 13 applications that were considered administratively appropriate and evaluated in terms of quality, and approved four project proposals.

With the approval of projects, all available program funds are committed. The Cooperation program Interreg Slovenia-Hungary 2014-2020 is thus one of the most successful at EU level.

The approved projects are part of a mosaic of successful integration of the common border area. Partners from both sides of the border are successfully cooperating. They preserve and promote the rich natural and cultural heritage of the border area and support lasting institutional partnerships on content that goes beyond national borders. In this way they are also more successful.

On the meeting the members were also presented the work of the irregularities officer at the Managing Authority, and the meeting was concluded with the presentation of the results of the evaluation of the effectiveness of the program and the presentation of communication activities that took place in the previous period.
