HORSE BASED TOURISM – HBT opening event accompanied with a media conference which happened on 19th of April in RIS Dvorec Rakičan, has hosted representatives of interested parties (touristic organizations & companies, equestrian organizations), which will at some point complement the project with their contribution.

HBT project was presented to the public by Alexander S. Goljevšček, director of the lead partner organization Zavod Nazaj na konja (Back to the horseback), dr. Robert Celec; director of RIS Dvorec Rakičan, dr. Adam Bartos; representative of the oldest agricultural faculty in Europe – Hungarian Pannon University and Zoltan Varga, representative of Helikon museum, the most visited museum in Hungary. The implementation of HBT project involves two bigger investments: Horse Glamping Park Starošince (Zavod Nazaj na konja) and RDK Center – revitalization of a cultural monument (RIS Dvorec Rakičan). In the frame of the project three different models of modern horse carriage of 21st century will be developed and produced, specialized training for tourism and equestrian experts will be held, and beyond that, HBT project will deliver 12 innovative touristic programmes which will for sure enrich and strengthen the tourism of the region (east Slovenia & south Hungary).

Participants of the event were greeted also by the mayor of Municipality Murska Sobota dr. Aleksander Jevšek, mayor of Kidričevo Anton Leskovar and dr. Katja Šnuderl, representative of the Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy (Republic of Slovenia).

The formal part of the event was followed by a tour through the future RDK Center.
To confirm a solid partnership, representatives of partner organizations planted a lipa (tilia) tree and then with other visitors enjoyed a ride in a carriage.
