On Monday, 10 October 2022, we started participating in the “EU in my school” initiative with the activities of project e-documenta Pannonica. The curator of Pomurje Museum Murska Sobota visited France Prešeren Primary School in Črenšovci and browsed the online portal e-documenta Pannonica with the pupils. They researched material about Črenšovci and had already seen some photos of the castle equipment. The pupils visited the Pomurje Museum Murska Sobota the week after, on 19 October, where they looked at these objects live.

On Wednesday, 19 October, we continued with the activities of the “EU in my school” initiative with France Prešeren Primary School Črenšovci. This time, the pupils visited the Pomurje Museum Murska Sobota and upgraded their knowledge from the first meeting at school. In a playful and relaxed way, they were looking at the castle objects live, which they had already familiarized themselves with on the online portal called e-documenta Pannonica. In a trip to the past, they learned about life in castles. At the creative workshop, each pupil made their own personal coat of arms and drew it on the bag. The meeting ended with a fun walk on stilts around the castle courtyard.

On Monday, 21 November, the last meeting of the “EU in my school” initiative took place at the Primary School France Prešeren Črenšovci. Altogether 25 6th-grade pupils were visited by the writer Norma Bale, accompanied by the curator of the Pomurje Museum Murska Sobota. The pupils participated in a storytelling workshop and created a story in a book about their experiences of the project e-documenta Pannonica and the “EU in my school” initiative.
